We like the VanBasco MIDI and karaoke player. It’s free online. Many of our MIDIs will display a karaoke screen that you can sing along with. You also see a piano playing. Change tempo, volume, and mute voices. Make this your default MIDI player.
Recording on a Windows computer
There are many ways to do most things. This video shows how Fred Feild used to do the sheet music singing process using Cubase on a Windows desktop computer. We have another video made by Vancha March showing the process he uses on an Apple computer.
Recording on an Apple computer
You may be considering recording yourself singing. Singer Vancha March uses an Apple MacBook. Here’s how:
Meet singer Vancha March
Originally from New Orleans, this young man has started recording sheet music vocals. He has even turned them into videos for the Sheet Music Singer YouTube channel.

Meet James Pitt-Payne
James is our midi sequencer. A retired General Medical Practitioner living in SE London, he has been sequencing for twenty years since a stroke. This activity began as rehabilitation for his right arm. Disabled in a health sense but active in his music endeavors.
James’ output of 17,000 midis for both sheet music songs and instrument solos is unrivaled. He especially enjoys sequencing entire musicals. His work is an essential part of the Sheet Music Singer and you will find most of our songs have midis created by him. Thank you, James, for sharing.
