Lyrics

When the witches fly
And there’s no moon up in the sky
Follow me and you will see
The goblins in the steeple
Each one has a beard touching the ground
They look so weird
Who would reckon they’d be peckin’
Goblins in the steeple
High up in the tow’r they celebrate
The midnight hour
Crazy little people are these
Goblins in the steeple
On the belfry bats they love to ride
And wave their hats
They’ve got static in the attic
And they’re so erratic
Don’t dare make a sound
‘Cause if they find that we’re around
They’ll get frightened
And you mightn’t see the Goblin Follies
When the Goblin King
Pulls on the bell to make it ring
Then the goblins in the steeple
Start into swing
Look who’s leader of the band
It’s Mister Ghost upon the stand
He’s rattlin’ his bones
What peculiar sounds they make
And when it’s time to take a break
The skeleton man moans
Ev’rybody’s ridin’ high
They all take off and start to fly
The morning will soon dawn
All those funny little people
Known as goblins in the steeple
Where ‘ve they all gone
Like a phantom light
Flying away into the night
Leaving you and me
And only shadows in the steeple
When the witches fly
And there’s no moon up in the sky
Then we’ll meet the goblins
In the steeple again
